Understanding Organisation Hierarchy

The organisation hierarchy feature enables you to configure your organisation’s reporting units to support sustainability reporting. It allows you to define your company breakdown by sub-entities and assets, providing the flexibility to align data collection and reporting with how your organisation operates.

This step is not mandatory. You may skip this section if you simply need to report for your principal company.

If required, you can configure the reporting units based on the following definitions:

  • Sub-entity: Distinct operational, financial or administrative unit with managerial autonomy and can typically report sustainability data separately. You should include all sub-entities that contribute to your organisation's overall sustainability performance.
  • Asset: Physical or financial resources that your organisation owns, leases, or operates. Assets contribute to your business operations but typically do not need to publish a separate sustainability report.
